Work for the Meadows Museum!
The Meadows Museum offers currently enrolled SMU students opportunities to gain invaluable, on-the-job museum experience. We look for energetic, friendly, ready-to-learn SMU students to fill two types of positions:
As one of the most public-facing parts of campus, the Meadows Museum frequently needs part-time student help in areas such as the Box Office and Gift Shop, where customer service skills and retail experience are helpful. Back-of-house roles involving various administrative/office work are also sometimes available. Some positions require Federal Work Study eligibility.
The Meadows Museum internships give students an introduction to the museum profession. Internships provide students with the opportunity to work directly with the Meadows Museum’s staff and a world-renowned collection of Spanish art. We ensure that our interns work on meaningful projects that contribute to the museum and give the intern marketable experience in the field.
No internships are available at this time; please continue to check this page regularly for updates.
“I am so glad I interned at the Meadows Museum because I felt like my manager wanted to teach me and help me become a better art educator.”
– Briana Long, 2018 William B. Jordan Undergraduate Intern in Museum Education
