Children’s Drawing from the Masters

March 15, 2025 @ 10:30 am - 11:30 am CDT

Free – $12

Beginning in January, Children’s Drawing from the Masters is moving to the third Saturday of each month at 10:30am and welcoming a brand new instructor! Artist and educator Desireé Vaniecia will lead each session, focusing on a different work of art and a different drawing technique, such as perspective, proportion, or shading. Drawing materials are provided. This program is designed for children ages 7–11, but all are welcome. Space is limited and advance registration is required. This is not a drop-off program; children must be accompanied by at least one adult over the age of 18. Both grown-ups and children need to register.
The program is free with regular museum admission: $12 for adults, $10 for seniors 65 and over, $4 for non-SMU students, free for members, free for youth under 18*
*Free museum admission for youth 18 and under is made possible by a grant from Fichtenbaum Charitable Trust, Bank of America, N.A., Co-Trustee.
