Planning Your University Group Visit
All SMU class groups that meet outside of regular museum hours must request a tour by emailing Meadows Museum Tours.
Group size:
- Maximum 45.
Tour Times:
- Monday: CLOSED
- Tuesday–Saturday: 10:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m. (Thursdays tours are available until 9:00 p.m.)
- Sunday: 1:00 p.m.–5:00 p.m.
- Please note: SMU class groups that meet outside of regular museum hours can request a docent-led tour by emailing Meadows Museum Tours. Tours are based on availability and not guaranteed.
Pricing (fees include admission):
- Non-SMU higher education student groups: $1 per person.
- SMU class groups: FREE
Tour Types
Docent-led
- 60 minutes | 45 students maximum
- The docent will offer context and insights into the works of art on view. The content of the tour can be customized to to fit the professor’s curricular needs
Professor-led
- 60 minutes | 45 students maximum
- Self-guided groups must yield to tours being conducted by museum staff and docent volunteers.
