Music from Spain
Join acclaimed Spanish guitarist Javier Lucío for an evening of music at the Meadows Museum. Lucío began his musical training in his native city of Cáceres, continued his studies in Seville under the tutelage of Antonio Duro, and earned a master’s degree in Musical Performance with Roberto Aussel in Cologne. A recipient of numerous awards, Lucío has performed at venues across Europe and collaborated with musical groups from Sweden to Spain. He currently teaches in Seville at the Conservatorio Elemental de Música “La Palmera” and is a member of the management team of the Arroyo de la Luz International Guitar Festival (Cáceres).
This program is offered in collaboration with the Cultural Office of the Embassy of Spain in Washington, D.C., as part of its Music from Spain initiative, and the Division of Music at the Meadows School of the Arts, SMU.
$10; free for SMU students/faculty/staff and Meadows Museum members at the Individual level and above.
