SUMMARY:Spanish Cinema Now + 2026 in Dallas
DESCRIPTION:This year’s edition of Spanish Cinema Now + in Dallas presents a showcase of films that reflects the breadth of styles and talents at work in Spain today\, including both established auteurs and emerging filmmakers from the international festival scene. After its presentation in Washington\, DC\, the Meadows Museum will bring these films to Texas thanks to a partnership with the Cultural Office of the Embassy of Spain and Dallas Film. \nThursday\, July 2 | 7:00 p.m. \nDaniela Forever (2024) \nwritten and directed by Nacho Vigalondo \nWhen Nicolas is invited to a clinical trial allowing participants to control their dreams\, he takes the plunge in hopes of recovering from the tragic loss of his girlfriend\, Daniela. But as his lucid dreams bring Daniela back to him\, Nicolas becomes obsessed with the fantasy world that he’s created and finds that his dreams aren’t as perfect as they seem.  Daniela Forever made its Spanish debut at the Sitges – International Fantastic Film Festival of Catalonia in 2024 and stars Henry Golding of Crazy Rich Asians and Beatrice Grannò of The White Lotus season two. \nSpain’s Institute of Cinematography and Audiovisual Arts rates this film ICAA 12+ (not recommended for audiences under twelve years of age)\, but the Meadows Museum screening is intended for mature audiences only. \n113 minutes | Spanish with English subtitles \nWatch trailer

SUMMARY:Preschool Playdate
DESCRIPTION:Calling all little ones and their grown-ups! This program welcomes children ages 2–5 and their adults into the museum before it opens to explore art together\, focusing on the making and the doing rather than the final product. Best of all\, your little ones can get messy at the museum instead of at home. \nRecommended for ages 2–5\, but all children are welcome. This is not a drop-off program; children must be accompanied by at least one adult over the age of 18. Both grown-ups and children need to register. \nThe program is free with regular museum admission: $12 for adults\, $10 for seniors 65 and over\, $4 for non-SMU students\, free for members\, free for youth under 18*\n*Free museum admission for youth 18 and under is made possible by a grant from Fichtenbaum Charitable Trust\, Bank of America\, N.A.\, Co-Trustee.
