Families come in all shapes and sizes, and so does creativity. The Meadows Museum and the Highland Park Library invite kids and their grown-ups to join us one Saturday a month to get creative together. Each session includes a story time led by the Highland Park Library and an art project facilitated by museum staff and SMU Student Museum Experience Ambassadors. This month: See how surrealist master Salvador Dalí created man out of fish in “The Fish Man” and explore other animals in his works. Then create your own clay sculpture of a surrealist creature!
This program is one hour long and is not a drop-in program. It is designed for ages 4 to 6, but all are welcome. Space is limited and advance registration is required. This is not a drop-off program; children must be accompanied by at least one adult over the age of 18.
The program is free with regular museum admission: $12 for adults, $10 for seniors 65 and over, $4 for non-SMU students, free for members, free for youth under 18*
*Free museum admission for youth 18 and under is made possible by a grant from Fichtenbaum Charitable Trust, Bank of America, N.A., Co-Trustee.
